Terms of Service

The rules that govern your use of Recibia.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") explain how Recibia works, what is expected of users, and the limits of our responsibility. By accessing or using Recibia, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

1. Eligibility

To use Recibia, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction)
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements
  • Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information
  • Use Recibia only for lawful purposes

We may require identity verification to protect the platform and its users. Failure to complete required verification may result in restricted access or account suspension.

Recibia reserves the right to deny access to anyone at its discretion, including users who pose a risk to the community.

2. Account Registration & Security

When you create an account, you are responsible for:

  • Keeping your login credentials secure
  • Ensuring all information you provide is truthful
  • Not sharing your account with others

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, you must notify us immediately.

Recibia is not responsible for losses caused by unauthorized access resulting from your failure to secure your account.

3. User Responsibilities

By using Recibia, you agree to:

  • Act honestly and in good faith
  • Communicate clearly with club members
  • Meet contribution commitments when you join a cycle
  • Follow Community Guidelines and applicable laws
  • Avoid abusive, deceptive, or fraudulent behavior

You understand that Recibia relies on trust between participants. Misuse of the platform undermines that trust and may result in enforcement actions.

4. Clubs

A club is a private group created by users who already trust one another.

Recibia is designed for participation among trusted individuals, families, friends, business owners, and communities with existing relationships. Users are responsible for determining whether participation in a club is appropriate for them.

  • Clubs define membership and internal expectations
  • Club owners or admins manage membership
  • Membership in a club does not require participation in every cycle

Recibia does not control club decisions and is not a party to agreements made within a club.

5. Cycles & Participation

A cycle is a structured round of participation within a club.

  • Cycles define contribution amounts, schedules, and rotation order
  • Participation in a cycle is opt-in before it begins
  • Only cycle participants contribute and receive payouts for that cycle
  • Once a cycle starts, participation is fixed for that cycle

You should only join cycles you are confident you can complete.

6. Platform Role

Recibia provides software tools that help trusted groups organize participation, coordinate contribution schedules, maintain records, and increase visibility within clubs and cycles.

Recibia does not manage clubs on behalf of users, determine participation decisions, guarantee cycle completion, or assume responsibility for commitments made between members.

Our role is limited to providing coordination, recordkeeping, and transparency tools.

7. Contributions & Payouts

  • Contribution schedules and payout order are defined at the start of each cycle
  • All activity is visible to cycle participants for transparency
  • Missed or late contributions may affect the group and may be flagged

Recibia facilitates coordination and tracking, but does not guarantee that all members will meet their obligations.

Access to funds or cycle activity may be temporarily restricted during reviews involving disputes, unusual activity, fraud prevention measures, or compliance requirements.

8. Risk Disclosure & No Financial Guarantees

Recibia is not:

  • A bank
  • A lender
  • A money transmitter
  • A remittance service
  • An investment platform
  • A savings account
  • A guarantor of returns

We do not:

  • Lend money
  • Invest user funds
  • Insure contributions
  • Guarantee payouts or outcomes

Participation in clubs and cycles involves financial risk based on the behavior of other participants. You assume this risk when you choose to participate.

Recibia cannot guarantee that participants will meet their commitments or that any cycle will be completed successfully. Users should only participate in clubs and cycles with individuals they know and trust.

9. Monitoring, Review & Enforcement

To help protect the community, Recibia may:

  • Monitor activity for unusual or risky patterns
  • Flag accounts, clubs, or cycles for review
  • Temporarily restrict certain actions
  • Pause cycles or payouts during investigations

These actions are intended to reduce harm and maintain platform integrity. They do not imply wrongdoing.

10. Disputes

If a dispute arises within a club or cycle:

  • Users should first attempt to resolve it within the group
  • Issues may be reported to Recibia for review
  • Recibia may request additional information
  • Certain actions may be paused while the issue is reviewed

Recibia does not act as an arbitrator and does not guarantee dispute resolution outcomes.

11. Fees & Changes

Recibia may introduce fees or change pricing in the future. Any changes will be communicated clearly before they take effect.

Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Recibia is not responsible for losses resulting from unmet commitments between users
  • Recibia is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Use of the platform is at your own risk

Our role is limited to providing coordination, recordkeeping, visibility, and transparency tools. Recibia does not enforce financial obligations between users.

13. Account Suspension & Termination

Recibia may suspend or terminate your account if:

  • These Terms or Community Guidelines are violated
  • Fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activity is detected
  • Required verification is not completed
  • Continued use poses risk to others or the platform

Users may stop using Recibia at any time, subject to any obligations related to active cycles.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify users through the app or email.

Your continued use of Recibia after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
